What People are saying...

I had not been to this venue before and I have to say that I was very impressed. I came to see Gary Delaney (who is excellent). The day before the even I got a text reminder which had useful travel information. On the day of the show we arrived about 15 minutes before the doors opened so had to queue outside for a while. However there was already a member of staff proactively managing the queue providing very helpful information, ensuring people knew they were in the right queue and also preventing people jumping the queue. This excellent queue management continued into the venue with other helpful staff guiding us through to the actual event room where staff escorted us individually to our seats explaing the locations of all facilities. For me, as a first time visitor this made everything so stress free and left me with a very positive impression of the venue. All the staff I encountered were friendly, helpful and cheerful. I will certainly return!!

This venue’s accessibility information on their website is outstanding. As an autistic wheelchair user it was so amazing to be able to see the layout/3D view of the whole venue. There is usually huge anxiety for me when going to a new venue that is “wheelchair accessible” because you don’t know to what extent. Being able to “tour” the venue online reassured me so much so I know what to expect when I get there. The downloadable accessibility guide was full of so much helpful info, including pictures of the accessible toilets, the routes to them, hallway and door measurements, even pictures of their standard seating with dimensions, which I would have found super useful before I started using a wheelchair as I struggle with some seat types. The option to arrange a visit before an event or early access is amazing. I’m not visually or hearing impaired but it seemed to me they had great info for this as well. They also give directions on the closest blue badge parking bays, which is usually my next thing to stress about! This team has made a huge effort with accessibility and for the first time since getting my wheelchair, I wasn’t left with any questions I needed to call about before booking a ticket to an event, which is such a huge relief! The emotional toil of never knowing whether I can access somewhere without contacting in advance is exhausting and demoralising. If more venues followed Komedia’s example the world would be a much better place!

Great place to see bands. Not too big . Not too small. Excellent views plus TV screens in all areas. Disabled parking in the street behind. Good eateries locally after gig.

Such a unique place you have such variety, they are really good at accommodating for the disabled. I loved the drag on a bus, 80’s night and more!! I keep coming back so they are doing something right.

We came here on the night of Brighton pride and had an amazing time. Lovely, clean venue with really friendly staff and saw it was clearly accessible.
