MARKETING AND SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR – APPLICATIONS NOW CLOSED

Salary: £24,000 Pro Rata per annum, £11.50 per hour.
Part-Time: 32 hours per week (includes evenings and weekends)

Overview
The role of the Marketing and Social Media Coordinator is a key and broad role within the marketing department. Working closely with the Marketing Manager to promote all events at Komedia whilst focussing on developing our social media channels and creating engaging content. Working alongside industry professionals to promote Comedy, Music, Club Nights, Childrens events and more…
The role offers an opportunity for the right candidate to develop their skills in a stimulating, innovative and lively atmosphere, working alongside a friendly and supportive team.

 

Duties may include:

  • Working alongside the Marketing Manager to deliver the promotion of the Komedia Venue and events.
  • Creative ideas to raise the profile of our social media platforms and increase our following.
  • Creating engaging content before and during shows to post on platforms (specific focus on Instagram & TikTok)
  • Responsible for finding exciting content that has been taken within our venue, clearance, and re-posting. 
  • Communicate with visiting performers or promotors to engage with our social media in a symbiotic manner.
  • Maintaining education of social media practice and theory.
  • Building and sending e-shots using email marketing platform Mailchimp for in-house shows and additional paid-for marketing from external promoters, such as solos e-shots and Face- book Adverts
  • Distribution: updating posters / other marketing material in the venue
  • Responding to customer message queries on all platforms
  • Posting shows that go on sale on social media and scheduling upcoming posts in social media calendar.
  • Keeping customers informed of changes and promotions.
  • Proofing and updating the Komedia website using WordPress
  • Creating, updating and management of AV slides.
  • Managing video archive
  • Carrying out any additional tasks requested from management.

Training is provided as part of your induction process.

 

Desirable Skills:

  • Current knowledge of social-media channels and trends
  • Videography/Photography skills
  • Talented content creator
  • Working knowledge of design/editing software (e.g. Photoshop, InDesign, Premier Pro).
  • Copy Writing and proofing skills
  • Knowledge of WordPress or similar website back-end software
  • Experience with Mailchimp or similar.
  • Marketing experience (work, education or project based)

  • Creative thinker with knowledge of current trends and marketing techniques
  • Independent and organised worker.
  • Genuine passion for the industry

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (preferred)

32 hours per week average, mixture of office daytime work and evening show based work.
